Pics from Guatemala

There was an island in the middle of the lake by Rio Dulce absolutely covered in these very pretty white heron-things (technical name).

Beautiful part of the lake between Rio Dulce and Livingston covered in water lilies.

The hostel in the jungle just off the lake, down a waterway - you can only get there and leave by boat. The animals were incredible: blue butterflies the size of your palm, multicoloured birds and dragonflies, but mosquito city!!

Really cool hostel in Flores called Los Amigos, with a central courtyard with hammocks and a parrot that only knew how to wolf-whistle and say one word (don't ask) and a treehouse which we stayed in.

The church in Flores, with the floor covered in the remnants of the explosives they set off for a solid 48 hours for Jesus' benefit. All I can say is, if he'd been trying to sleep within a mile of the church he would not have been pleased.

The bus ride to Rio Dulce from Flores, beautiful countryside.
